Atomic Fusion creative director and co-founder, Bob Klinger, continues his involvement in the interactive design community through active participation with two leading schools in the Atlanta metropolitan area.
This week, Klingler participated as an Art Institute of Atlanta IMD program advisor, participating in a panel discussion of the interactive marketing community. At the meeting Klingler provided his perspective on topics such as the biggest challenge facing the interactive design and marketing industry, challenges in the job market, the shift in job roles and definitions, and the impact of broadband Internet connectivity.
“I really enjoy the interaction of the groups I have gotten to participate within. In such a collaborative occupation, it is exciting to hear new and fresh ideas and share experiences,” Klingler said. “In the past few years, I have had the opportunity to give back to the design community through participation in these school programs and functions.”
Klingler regularly participates in quarterly portfolio reviews at the school, offering feedback for students entering the job market. In addition, Atomic Fusion supports the school’s internship program, offering real world opportunities for design and interactive students from the school.
Bob Klingler also spoke to a web design class this week at the Creative Circus, a nationally recognized advertising school that offers art direction, copywriting, design, photography, and web design degree programs. Klingler’s presentation to students focused on the strategic integration of Adobe Flash into interactive design. Key points outlined the process that should be taken in determining whether Flash technology can add value to a client’s goals and objectives.
Klingler added, “I am really energized by talking and interacting with the local design schools and their students. This is such a fast moving field that when you take the time to step back and think about your craft, you can appreciate the industry as well as the new energy it will receive from the graduates coming out of these programs.”
