Atomic Fusion, an award-winning Atlanta-based interactive services firm, celebrates two 2006 WebAward wins, presented by the Web Marketing Association (WMA). These awards further support Atomic Fusion’s continued success of delivering strategically-focused interactive communications that work toward return on investment goals for its clients.
Atomic Fusion received “Standard of Excellence” awards for interactive work on behalf of the Atlanta Regional Commission, the regional planning and intergovernmental coordination agency for the10-county metropolitan area, and Core Studios, an Atlanta-based landscape architecture and land planning firm. The WebAwards recognizes the standard for which all websites should strive. The following is an overview of the projects that won awards in this year’s competition:
- Atlanta Regional Commission – The Atlanta Regional Commission website (www.atlantaregional.com) offers users an innovative portal to extensive information about metro Atlanta. The clean design of the retooled site offers easier navigation and allows users to find relevant information more quickly. New tools on the website improve the online experience and allow users to quickly navigate to other related sites, discover the latest programs and events, read current press releases, and explore recently added publications and updated data. The site is cutting-edge in that it offers visitors the opportunity to personalize their visit to focus on a specific geographic area.
- Core Studios - The Core Studios website utilizes technology that helps to drive interactivity and usability for visitors — giving the site a sense of being both organic and alive — much like Core Studios own projects. The creative challenge of communicating Core’s ability to deliver landscape design that is influenced by lifestyle was a success. In its design and development process, Atomic Fusion embraced earth tones and combined them with a fun, spirited and contemporary look. The result is a living, breathing environment for users to explore.
Bob Klingler, creative director and co-founder of Atomic Fusion said, “We are extremely pleased to again receive this professional validation from such a prestigious international Internet competition. WebAwards coupled with positive feedback from satisfied clients are what keep our energy level and desire for continuing growth and success high.”
Interactive agencies from more than 33 countries submitted entries in over 96 categories for the annual competition. A jury of independent experts judged entries based on criteria such as design, use of technology, innovation, content, interactivity and usability.
