Atomic Fusion Hits Home Run For WTBS Sales Team

Atomic Fusion, an award-winning independent interactive agency, recently launched a promotional website for the WTBS sales team, supporting work with Atlanta Local Chevy Dealers and their relationship with Atlanta-area youth baseball (http://www.wtbspromos.com/chevy). The website highlights a running home game homerun donation tally for the Atlanta Braves, sponsored by the dealer association. The site also features on-air commercials, as shown on WTBS, supporting the sponsorship and how the donations directly impact Atlanta-area youth baseball summer camps.
Working with the WTBS sales team, Atomic Fusion created an environment that is both nostalgic and exploratory complete with the sights and sounds of a hometown baseball game. The iconic scoreboard situated on the edge of a field provides the basic interface and through the use of sound effects, non-interactive sprites and real-time environmental effects, the site displays an immersive quality that draws in visitors and invites them to explore.

Environmental effects in the micro site include the sounds of a game in play, including a crack of the bat and the visual bouncing of homerun hits from the scoreboard as the game progresses. Innings are tracked and displayed on the scoreboard as if a game is currently underway. Visiting the site en the evening or nighttime provides a different experience for the visitor. The micro site even fades into twilight with field lights flickering and turning on after dark.
